Yasmin is the icon of 1Malaysia

WITHIN 100 days of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak becoming Prime Minister, we have seen notable changes. 1Malaysia has been introduced to Malaysians, to unite the various races and religions, to forge unity and form a strong bond among us.

Every day we see Malaysians of all races gathering at their favourite mamak stall to have their daily dose of roti canai and teh tarik after long hours at the office.

Back in the old days, we never discriminated against anyone on account of skin colour or racial background; we played and studied together and enjoyed together as one multi-racial group.

All of these good values can be found in the work of the late director Yasmin Ahmad. She has always pictured us as 1Malaysia and has showed us the true meaning of 1Malaysia a long time ago, through her work from Rabun to Talentime.

She started the whole 1Malaysia spirit even before it became a thrust policy of the new administration. Why the change in perception and interest in her works after 1Malaysia has been introduced?

Is it because of the new thrust policy from the new administration is on the same track as her ideologies or works, or are people just starting to realise the real meaning of 1Malaysia?

I remember her first feature film released to the public, Sepet. It was one of the most controversial movies in the Malaysian film industry.

She took a different tack, challenging her audiences to disregard the differences in race between her characters. The issue drew strong reaction from the public and media.

After her death, a private television station aired all of her films throughout the week.

Now we see things differently. It is already 52 years of independence for Malaysia. Society has started to handle issues in a positive manner. It shows how her works have changed people’s perceptions.

I hope we will appreciate her effort to promote unity among the races in Malaysia. Yasmin Ahmad is the real icon of 1Malaysia.

Not so cuti Raya

First of all, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin. But kali ni tak macam cuti raya sangat la.....Banyak giler deadline kena kejar after cuti nie. Journalism tak buat interview lagi. Entahla diaorg nak tunggu sampai christmas kut. Selamat all the photoshoot untuk storyboard dah settle. Now nak edit ja. Graphic please dont anyone ask me how the progress.

Anyway again.

Happy Life

Saja ja previous post buat sedih2 sikit. Razaleigh Zain kan full of drama. Ashman selalu cakap kalau buka dictionary, cari word gedik and mengada nanti keluarla my name. Heheheheh. Always love you :) Now raz in Penang and going back to lendu later tonight. Penat sangat this semester. Lari sana here and there. Soalan journalism dah diapproved and we are the first group kut. Entahla...Saper kisah as long kerja jalan. Ada assignment phycho and Public relation yang kena submit sebelum cuti raya. This mean lagi 2 minggu, to be exact 15 days to go. This week Raz kena settle photo untuk photo gallery. Study lagi sebab on the 7th dah mid semester exam. Mintak2 boleh score with flying colours. Green mesti include :) Well, cuti 4 days in Penang amat memenatkan. Shoting sana sini. Hujan 24/7. Hopefully minggu ni i can sit down and think about my assignments and perhaps jumpa budak top up i guess. Peace :p

I love you. Now you are so happy with someone else. Selama aku kenal kau, ni la kali pertama aku nampak kau sangat happy. Mungkin aku tak boleh membuatkan kau bahagia seperti dia. Those time we had akan aku ingat sampai bila-bila. Satu saja permintaan aku, tolong jangan lupa aku :)

Fly away piece by piece

Slowly Raz rasa semua semakin berubah. Day by day, month by month and year by year semua semakin berubah. Raz kadang-kadang tak sedar semua ini berlaku. Raz pernah sayang Shu dan semua sekarang dah tinggal kenangan. Now i say it out loud. Our friendship sekarang dah hilang. Bila Raz masuk uitm, hoping to start everything new. But kuasa tuhan i met someone and again benda yang jadi kat Raz masa form 3 happened once again. But this time Raz sayang dia more deeper than i ever felt before. Tapi as i said, my luck belum sampai masanya. This not work out. Tapi bagi Raz la, orang tu seorang manusia yang sangat baik. Mungkin i will never find someone dah macam ni lagi. Now plak kawan Raz dah ada new groupie. Why should i jeles at the place? I love her as a friend and not more than that. and again the question is why Raz patut jeles dengan dia. Or maybe Raz memang sayang dia dari first time i lay my eyes on her. Perasan Raz je kut. I still hoping dia akan jumpa someone yang boleh sayang dia. I know i cant give her happiness. That's why i'll never say it clearly that i love her i guees! Bodoh kan. Sayang orang pun boleh guessing2 lagi. Overall my life here in lendu will be a historical things that ever happened to me in my life. I wish someday i will find someone will cheerish my day till the end of time. Hopefully kan.

Minggu yang colourful

Hello semua. Lama Raz dah update blog ni. Busy giler la dengan assignments. Lari sana lari sini. Sediyh here and there. Cuti seminggu dengan H1N1. Banyak sangat benda-benda yang happening, memenatkan and terkejut pun ader. Let me start one by one.

1. Birthday Dayang Atul
Happy birthday atul. I hope u love my card. I hope our friendship will last forever.


2. Cuti H1N1
Uitm ni memang memeningkan kepala. Asala tak bagi cuti awal-awal and tunggu semua sakit baru nak cuti. Selamat la Uitm yuran murah,if not i wont come here to study. Statement melampau ja. :). Yang paling interesting faculty mass comm bg assignment pasal H1n1 untuk mass commers je. The reason is Our Datuk (tak kena saman k sebab no name mentioned) nak sebagai rujukan. Whatever la.Boring dengan drama orang-orang mcm ni.


3. Sediyh bila listen to sad songs :(
Raz will never change la kut or even move on kan. That one night after comforting one of my friend(senior) pasal hal sembilu dia with kawan Raz, suddenly Raz lak yang emo teringatkan someone yang sekarang ni sangat happy with someone else. Raz xpernah geram kat dia. Itu yang patut dia lakukan. Mencari happiness with the person yang dia sayang.

4. Al- Fatihah Allahyarham Yasmin Ahmad
Raz sangat terkejut and maybe the whole world pasal pemergian seorang yang berbakat di muka bumi ni. Permergian beliau amat dirasai sgt. I love all of her movies so damn much. From Sepet to Talentime, all her movies sangat best. After this dah xde saper boleh menggatikan tempat beliau. Semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat. AL-FATIHAH.
